Direct Denture Services is a family owned and operated denture practice. Through this ideology, we have become an industry leader in the provision and promotion of on-site denture services in the greater community.

Denturists - The Denture Specialists

Denturists are denture specialists. They are licensed primary oral health care professionals who provide denture care services directly to the public. Their scope of practice encompasses two general aspects: both fitting and fabricating of dentures. They are trained in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients who are missing some or all of their teeth.

Denturists are trained to:

  • Design a treatment plan for the patient
  • Measure the patient’s jaws
  • Design full dentures, partial dentures, and implant supported dentures
  • Fit and modify new dentures
  • Reline, repair, rebase, and alter dentures.

Denturists are also trained to manufacture dentures and are able to do so in their own on-site laboratory.

It is important to know that denturists can be seen without a referral from any other health care professional.

Principal Staff

Mark Blanch, B.Sc., DD Founder

Mark’s schooling began at University of Toronto where he obtained his degree in Biological Sciences. He then continued his education and graduated from the George Brown College Denturism program in 2005. Mark joined the family practice with tremendous enthusiasm to help others in a fundamental way. After being exposed to the many facets of the practice, he realized rather early on that traveling on-site to see patients at their residence was his passion. Being mentored by his father (one of the earliest licensed denturists in Ontario) helped him develop the knowledge and skills that are further required to be successful given the unique challenges of working out of a traditional office setting and the unique challenges of working with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. As the years went on, and more and more long-term care facilities opened throughout Southern Ontario, Mark saw the need to expand the practice to service the patients in those areas. He then created Direct Denture Services – a true full-service on-site practice. He continues to be committed to expanding the company into areas that are underserved and welcomes the opportunity to help those in need.

Yonet Blanch, Director of Communications and Public Relations

As a graduate of Sheridan College’s 3 year Business Marketing Program and a post diploma in Human Resource Management, Yonet learned early on that she had a passion for communication and enjoyed working with people. She has years of extensive work experience as a marketing manager and led many teams throughout her career. Her caring, welcoming and authentic character enables her to establish meaningful relationships with everyone she meets.

One of Yonet’s main professional objectives is to be in a position where she can use her formal education, years of work experience, and caring personality to serve the community and improve the lives of those living in it.

As a liaison to our facilities, Yonet strives to build and maintain strong relationships with administration and nursing staff through effective communication and education to promote our services in a team effort to bring residents the best possible on-site denture care.
